Governing Body
The governing body forms the leadership and governance structure of Samaja Seva Sangham.
General Council
The Governing Council (General Body) of Samaja Seva Sangam will consist of not less than eleven members. The general body will meet at least once a year, but in special cases, this may be called whenever necessary with the permission of the chairman. A fortnight’s notice will be essential for the general body meeting, and under emergent circumstances, the meeting be called by the secretary with the approval of the president in a week’s notice. Two-thirds of the total membership will be the quorum of the meeting. In the case of the adjourned meeting, there will be no quorum. The annual meeting will be held in the first week of April. The duties of the General Counsel are to guide the society in fulfilling its objectives and to decide policy matters as the case may be. They select members of the Managing Committee.
Executive council
The Executive Committee of Samaja Seva Sangam is composed of seven to eleven members, responsible for supervising the society’s affairs, income, and property. The committee’s term is three years, with re-election available for members who expire. The committee consists of a chairman, secretary, and joint secretary, who may be appointed for specific functions. The chairman’s term is determined by their membership term, or three years. The secretary or joint secretary is an honorary or full-time worker, with a salary determined by the committee. Meetings are usually every three months, with the chairman or two members having the power to call a special meeting.
